California Track and Field set 15 personal bests at California Quad

California High School track and field ran in their first meet of the season at the California Quad on Thursday. The team had a strong showing and combined for 15 personal-best times and distances against Boonville, Cole Camp, Fulton, Otterville and Tipton.

In the girls 100-meter dash, Skylar Bax finished 24th place with a time of 16.78 seconds and Reghan Lewis finished 25th place with a time of 17.77 seconds.

In the girls 200-meter dash, Allie Heather finished in fifth place with a time of 29.53 seconds. Danielle Ramos finished 11th place with a time of 31.52 seconds. Sophia Lewis finished 15th place with a time of 32.71 seconds and Skylar Bax finished 18th place with a time of 35.58 seconds.

In the girls 400-meter dash, Allie Heather won the relay with a time of one minute and 5.56 seconds (1:05.56). Danielle Ramos finished 10th place with a time of 1:14.15 and Sophia Allen finished 11th place with a time of 1:14.32.

In the girls 3,200-meter run, Camryn Wingate finished third place with a time of 15:31.77.

In the girls 100-meter hurdles, Tayte Higgins finished fifth place with a time of 19.38 seconds and Isabelle Fulks finished eighth place with a time of 23.07 seconds.

In the girls 300-meter hurdles, Tayte Higgins finished third place with a personal-best time of 50.08 seconds and Camryn Wingate finished fifth place with a time of 1:00.33.

In the girls 4x800 meter relay, the team of Hillary Roney, Danielle Ramos, Abbigail Stuedle and Camryn Wingate won the relay with a combined time of 13:46.78.

In the girls high jump, Isabelle Fulks finished ninth place with a throw of 1.22 meters.

In the girls pole vault, Camryn Wingate finished sixth place with a throw of 1.52 meters.

In the girls long jump, Abbigail Stuedle finished 10th place with a personal-best throw of 3.98 meters. Samantha Davis finished 13th place with a throw of 3.76 meters. Sophia Allen finished 16th place with a throw of 3.58 meters and Hillary Roney finished 17th place with a throw of 3.53 meters.

In the girls triple jump, Abbigail Stuedle finished fifth place with a personal-best combined distance of 8.80 meters.

In the girls shot put, Alissa Surface finished fifth place with a personal-best throw of 7.61 meters. Madalyn Ferguson finished sixth place with a throw of 7.25 meters. Josi Manzanares finished 14th place with a throw of 6.39 meters. Mary Klein finished 16th place with a throw of 5.61 meters and Jayln Coleman finished 17th place with a throw of 5.37 meters.

In the girls discus, Margaret Heimericks finished third place with a personal-best throw of 21.62 meters. Kaitlyn Forbis finished sixth place with a throw of 19.57 meters and Isabelle Hulsey finished 15th place with a throw of 14.57 meters.

In the girls javelin, Danielle Ramos finished eighth place with a throw of 19.30 meters and Hillary Roney finished 13th place with a throw of 15.20 meters.

In the boys 100-meter dash, Ayden Bryant finished second place with a time of 11.54 seconds. Jett Rutledge finished fifth place with a time of 12.41 seconds. Preston Flora finished 12th place with a time of 12.77 seconds. Alex Thomas finished 15th place with a time 13.08 seconds. Landon Hays finished 17th place with a time of 13.21 seconds and Noah Surface finished 18th place with a 13.39 seconds.

In the boys 200-meter dash, Damien Pace finished fourth place with a personal-best time of 25.52 seconds. Quaid Grubb finished eighth place with a time of 26.08 seconds. Jett Rutledge finished ninth place with a time of 26.32 seconds. Lucas Blecke-Ferreira finished 19th place with a time of 27.66 seconds. Alex Thomas finished 20th place with a time of 27.83 seconds and Noah Surface finished 22th place with a time of 28.10 seconds.

In the boys 400-meter dash, Damien Pace finished fifth place with a time of 1:02.76.

In the boys 800-meter run, Andrew Pace finished fourth place with a time of 2:34.12 and Jackson Barnard finished fifth place with a time of 2:37.00.

In the boys 1,600-meter run, Connor Farmer finished fourth place with a personal-best time of 5:23.57

In the boys 3,200-meter run, Connor Farmer won the run with a time of 11:28.11.

In the boys 110 hurdles, Jackson Hensley won the relay with a personal-best time of 15.77 seconds.

In the boys 300 hurdles, Quaid Grubb finished second place with a personal-best time of 45.92.

In the boys high jump, Walker Friedmeyer finished second place with a personal-best jump of 1.72 meters. Landon Hays tied for eighth place with a jump of 1.47 meters. Jackson Barnard tied for 11th place with a jump of 1.42 meters and Lucas Blecke-Ferreira finished 13th place with a jump 1.37 meters.

In the boys pole vault, Jackson Barnard finished third place with a jump of 2.74 meters and Kwynnon Duvall finished fifth place with a jump of 2.59 meters.

In the boys long jump, Ayden Bryant won the event with a jump of 6.79 meters. Jett Rutledge finished fourth place with a jump of 5.44 meters. Kwynnon Duvall finished seventh place with a jump of 5.20 meters. Landon Hays finished 10th place with a jump of 5.03 meters. Lucas Blecke-Ferreira finished 14th place with a jump of 4.76 meters and Andrew Pace finished with a jump of 4.59 meters.

In the boys triple jump, Walker Friedmeyer won the competition with a personal-best combined distance of 12.22 meters. Preston Flora finished fifth place with a personal-best combined distance of 10.42 meters and Andrew Pace finished seventh place with a combined distance of 9.76 meters.

In the boys shot put, Alexis Anguiano finished fourth place with a personal-best throw of 10.92 meters. Skip Figgins finished ninth place with a person-best throw of 9.51 meters and Tanner Embry finished 15th place with a throw of 9.14 meters.

In the boys discus throw, Alexis Anguiano finished fourth place with a personal-best throw of 32.28 meters. Lance Clevenger finished seventh place with a throw of 27.35 meters and Kaysen White finished 11th place with a personal-best throw of 24.80 meters.

In the boys javelin, Lance Clevenger finished fourth place with a throw of 29.28 meters. Kaysen White finished fifth place with a person-best throw of 28.06 meters. Walker Friedmeyer finished eighth place with a throw of 27.57 meters and Quaid Grubb finished 10th place with a throw of 27.46 meters.

California's next meet is Monday at the Osage Warpath meet.
