California Area Christmas Parades for 2010

Area Christmas parades on Saturday, Dec. 4, begin in Jamestown at 10:30 a.m. Following the parade, Santa will hand out goodie bags in the Jamestown School lobby.

At 5 p.m., the lighted California Christmas Parade will begin. After the "Christmas California Style" parade, Santa and Mrs. Claus will hand out candy at the Moniteau County Courthouse.

Beginning at 7 p.m., Finke Theatre presents The Martin Family Christmas Show.

More parades will be held on Saturday, Dec. 11, with the Russellville Christmas Parade starting at 10 a.m., and the Prairie Home Christmas Parade at 1 p.m. with the theme of "Christmas at the North Pole." In addition to the parade, the day at Prairie Home is a festival including a craft show, lunch and a visit from Santa, to name a few.

The Tipton Christmas Parade was the first in the area, taking place on Friday, Nov. 26.
