California High School senior football players Pedro Corona, at left, and Mitchell Cox were recently named to the first ever All-Area Football Team. Corona was named to the first team as an offensive lineman. He earned All-Conference honors from Tri-County coaches for the second straight year. Cox was named to the second team as a defensive back (secondary). He had four interceptions and 79 tackles (39 solo).
