When thinking of Christmas, a picture of a jolly man in a white beard bringing smiles to faces young and old comes to mind. No one embodied that spirit more than Kelly Messerli who went to local nursing homes distributing presents to residents around Moniteau County Friday, Dec. 17. Messerli said seeing the smiles on the faces of the residents is all that matters to him when he volunteers not looking for anything for the time and effort he puts into brining joy to so many.
