California Superintendent Resigns During School Board Meeting, Will Become Football Coach

The resignation, effective June 30, of California R-I School Superintendent Marty Albertson was accepted by the California R-I School Board Wednesday, Dec. 15 at its regular monthly meeting. Albertson has accepted the position of California High School Head Football Coach for next year and commented he wants "to concentrate my efforts in that direction."

The School Board has scheduled a closed meeting for today (Wednesday) to make plans for hiring a new superintendent.
