MFA Oil hosts Annual Meeting

Approximately 200 people attended the 2010 annual meeting of the California MFA Oil Company bulk plant Nov. 20 at the California Nutrition Center. President Jerry Taylor, MFA Oil Company, presented a brief report of the company's 2010 business, stating that MFA Oil has completed its 81st year in business with a total sales of $1 billion. MFA Oil plans to retire member equities and pay in cash a percentage of 2010 member earnings, an amount totaling $3.3 million. During 81 years in business, MFA Oil has returned over $98 million in cash to its member owners.

Other activities during the meeting included a drawing for prizes and a catered meal. Special guest was President Taylor, Senior Vice President of Supply and Distribution of MFA Oil Company.

Ten area residents were elected to serve as delegates and alternates for the coming year at the California bulk plant. They were Nelson Bochard, Paul Clennin, Raymond Hall, Paul Hollering, Kenny Howard, David Inglish, Abe Rohrbach and Freddie Bolinger all of California; and Dean Irey, Latham.
