Street paving complete

The street paving work is complete, much to the relief of many local drivers.

As the streets around the city were milled and in some cases excavated for the recent sewer line work, the streets in many parts of California were very rough.

The paving work began just over a week ago, and according to city officials, is now complete. In some areas, such as at the intersection of Cole and White streets, the paving was done merely to restore the asphalt after a new manhole was installed. Other streets, such as Rice Boulevard, were resurfaced.

Latham Road almost had to be completely rebuilt after the new high pressure sewer line was built under the roadway.

As we go into the fall and winter seasons, the city streets deemed in most need of resurfacing are now smooth and in good condition.
