Whether it was picture-time beforehand at Proctor Park Saturday afternoon, or dancing and letting loose at Braykley's Hall, Centertown, Saturday, April 9, the mood surrounding the California High School Prom was as it should be on any teenager's prom night....light-hearted, fun and even a little silly at times.
Twinkling white lights, stars and a miniature version of the Eiffel Tower helped create the setting for the 2011 Prom theme, 'A Night in Paris.' Music was provided by Central Missouri Sound by Craig Braunm, Jefferson City.
The Prom Court consisted of queen candidates Lesa Langlotz, Taylor Thompson and Taylor Porter, and king candidates Mitchell Cox, Pedro Corona and Ryan Gerhart. Langlotz and Cox were ultimately crowned the 2011 CHS Prom Queen and King.
