Census shows state, county and city growth

According to the 2010 Census data released, Missouri increased by 393,716 (7.0 percent) in the last 10 years to 5,595,211.
Of the 114 Missouri counties, Moniteau County is one of the 84 which increased in population.
Of the residents of Missouri recorded in 2010, 15,607 are in Moniteau County, an increase of 780 (5.3 percent) over the 2000 level of 14,827. The City of California increased by 273 residents to 4,278 from the 2000 census level of 4,005 (6.8 percent).
