Mark Stockton had been towing for 12 years before deciding to own his own towing business six years ago. Stockton Towing, located at 31300 Highway 87, California, is a AAA affiliated towing company which offers towing, accident and breakdown tows, towing to the dealership, unlocking keys out of cars, gas delivery, flat tire changes, spare tire installation and other needed services.
Stockton said he is from Neosho but moved to Kansas City to work for a pipeline company. After being laid off one winter, he heard of an opportunity at Almighty Towing in Kansas City and after working for them, caught the itch and has been towing ever since.
"After working for 12 years I decided to go on my own," Stockton said. "My supervisor told me about several places which were needing someone and he gave me an option of California. I drove through the other towns and did not see a reason to stop. I came to California and decided to stop. It was in 2008, during the fair, and so I went and decided this was the place I would go."
