Approximately 10 years ago Brent Harlin and his father Larry Greer started A & E Roofing. Harlin said they started out just remodeling homes and then got into roofing after a friend asked them to help with some roofs. Liking the experience the father-son combo decided to take off on their own doing roofs.

Two years after they started the roofing business, Brent's brother Brian joined the business and has worked with his brother for eight years. Larry worked with his sons until his death two years ago. But Brent and Brian have continued the roofing business.

Currently Brent is the owner with Brian and four others working with the company. Brent said the business has been good.

"We have a good reputation around the area," Brent said, "and have stayed pretty busy. Mainly we provide residential roofing and have done metal roofs and other things from painting and framing among other household construction. You name it and we have done it. Our main thing is residential roofs though and it is 90 percent of what we do."
