The California High School Annual Volleyball Gatorade Scrimmage was held Aug. 22 at the high school, where the varsity and JV volleyball teams got their feet wet via scrimmages before their first matches of the 2011 season. The event consisted of three scrimmages; JVA vs. JVB, JV vs. varsity, and varsity vs. varsity. The cost to attend was a bottle of Gatorade. The Lady Pintos played their season opener at home Tuesday, Aug. 30, against Eugene, and will host Boonville Thursday, beginning with the JV match at 6 p.m.
