Pool issue addressed at council meeting

The City of California Board of Aldermen took up the old business of the leaky municipal swimming pool at its regular monthly meeting, Monday, Dec. 5.

After discussion, the council approved a motion to send out a Request For Proposal (RFP) to contractors which could have an interest in working on the pool. The RFP will be in the form of a letter containing the information the city has about each pool with what needs to be done, but not how it is to be done. Each contractor will respond with a written proposal of how to best repair the pools. Each of the three pools - indoor, diving and wading - are to be treated as stand-alone projects in the proposed work.
