Many students gathered in the Performing Arts Center on Wednesday, December 7 to see if they have what it takes to make the cut for the Spring Play, Harvey.
A total of 24 students went into the tryouts without having a practice script. Three California High School teachers judged them on their ability to act and if they had any schedule conflicts.
Ms Brown said We had more people who tried out this year then any other year, this is good because it affects what play Im able to pick for next year.
The students who will be performing in Harvey will be Ashley Douglas, Ashlee Davis, Maria Banda, Haley McMillian, Sarah Hurt, Rebecca Porter, Alex Davis, Walter Juarez, Justin Mitchell, Alexx Lewis, Nate Burkett, and Dakota Harris, as well as the stage managers, Courtland Gerhart, Sarah Couchman and Brooke Holliday.
I was surprised to hear my name being called off for the lead part as Elwood Dowd, said Alex Davis.
Thursday, Dec 8, twelve students were given the good news they had received a part in the play. Performances are Friday, March 30 and Saturday, March 31 in the CHS Performing Arts Center.
