California's varsity girls traveled to Springfield Friday, where they suffered a 71-52 loss to Hillcrest.
"This was a tough night for the Lady Pintos," California Head Coach Bobby Sangster said.
Hillcrest outscored California 19-14 in the first quarter and 17-14 in the second to lead 36-28 at the half. Hillcrest then managed 21 points to California's 10 in the third quarter to lead 57-38 going into the final frame. An even 14-14 fourth quarter left the win with Hillcrest.
