Russellville Indians lose close contest to Tigers

The Russellville Indians hosted Versailles Thursday, where the varsity lost a close contest to the Tigers, 51-50. Russellville led the entire game until Versailles sank a shot with three seconds remaining to pull ahead by one point and take the win.

The Indians led 11-5 after one quarter, 21-20 at the half and 38-36 going into the final frame.

With one minute left to play, a Versailles 3-pointer evened the score at 48. Russellville's Alex Barbour then sank a shot to put the Indians back on top 50-48. The Tigers then hit one of two free throws to trail 50-49. A final bucket with three seconds remaining gave the Tigers a 51-50 edge, and ultimately the win.
