California High School art students win in postcard contest

With pride in his students, California High School art teacher Brad Friedrich announced that three California High School students not only placed in the 2011 Missouri Endangered Species Postcard Contest, they took first second and third place in the grade nine through 12 category.

The postcard of first place winner Ryan Vernon, "Golden Mouse," will be printed, published and sold in nature shops by the Missouri Conservation Department.

The second place entry, "Running Buffalo Clover," is by Corina Castillo and third place was taken by Missy Gerhart with her entry "Cerulean Warbler."
