In October, Leann Curty joined the staff of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home as a funeral director/embalmer. She has been around the business her entire life, as her aunt and uncle own four funeral homes in Missouri. The summer of her senior year, Curty started working for them and said she fell in love with being able to help people.
"I do this work for the people," Curty said. "It is the hardest time in their life and with me being able to take care of the details for them, it can make it easier. It is the main reason I got into the business."
