California High School Junior Class Holds Chili Supper Fundraiser

The junior class recently held a chili supper to help raise money for Prom. The supper was held on Monday, Jan. 24 at CHS in conjunction with the Varsity Boys basketball game against Richland. Over 150 people attended.

Members of the junior class served chili or worked at the concession stand selling candy, drinks, and popcorn. They also pre-sold tickets to the dinner.

The menu included chili, peanut butter sandwiches, crackers and hotdogs.

Junior Chely Aguero said, "It was fun seeing everyone and working with my friends. Plus it helped raise money for Prom."

Ashlee Davis added, "Working behind the scenes of the chili dinner was a cooler way to fundraise than selling items to people. I liked that I got to hang out with my friends and talk to customers I knew."

The Junior Class raised approximately $1,000.00 to help cover expenses for this year's prom on April 9.

The juniors would like to thank the community for their support and their parents for helping them organize the event.
