MRED Reviews 2010 Activities

At its first regular monthly meeting of 2011, the Moniteau County Regional Economic Development Council (MRED) Board of Directors reviewed the activities of the last year, elected officers and considered priorities for the next year.

According to MRED Board Chairman Mike Kelley, one of the more important decisions made in 2010 was the hiring of Executive Director Ken Parrett to operate the daily activities of the organization. Membership in the organization increased from 17 to 24, with the loss of only one member. In addition, the organization introduced a "tiered" system for memberships and increased communication and contact with the membership as well as other business entities in the county.
