California R-I School discuss snow days and bus funding
Tuesday, February 22, 2011
Snow days and bus funding came under discussion at the regular monthly meeting of the California R-I School Board Wednesday, Feb. 16.
According to California R-I Superintendent Marty Albertson, the school calendar is 176 days long. Since the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) only requires 174 days of school, that means two snow days are built into the school calendar. If they are not used, school will dismiss two days earlier than scheduled.
