Moniteau County Prosecutor's Office Moves

The November election caused many changes in Moniteau County. One of those changes was the need to find a location for the office of the Prosecuting Attorney.

Long-time Prosecutor John Kay worked from his own offices. The files, both current and the historical files required to be kept, were stored in his facility.

Two of half a dozen heavy file cabinets containing current files are moved to the new Prosecutors Office on Monday, Jan. 3, with a county-owned backhoe.

Current files are moved into the newly acquired Prosecutors Office on the Courthouse Square in California. From left, County Commissioner Kim Roll, county employee David Schubert and Prosecuting Attorney Shayne Healea move the files. The facility was vacated by the previous tenant at the end of December.
