Prairie Home Lady Panthers

The Prairie Home varsity girls hosted Calvary Lutheran Thursday, where the Lady Panthers captured a 63-23 win.

Prairie Home led 12-6 after one quarter and 36-16 at the half. The Lady Panthers outscored Calvary Lutheran 19-5 in the third quarter and 8-2 in the fourth to secure the win.

Taylor Zey led Prairie Home scoring with 24 points and 15 rebounds. Kendra Stinson followed with 18 points, five rebounds and seven assists. Krista Small and Kohlie Stock each contributed six points as well. Small had six rebounds and Stock had eight.

"We played a good game tonight and never trailed," Prairie Home Coach Scott Tooley said. "We picked up our defense in the second quarter to put the game away."

Jamestown Eagles

The Jamestown varsity boys hosted Columbia Independent Friday, where the Eagles came away with the win, 58-16.

The Eagles led 20-2 after one quarter and 37-12 at the half. Jamestown outscored Columbia 16-2 in the third quarter and 5-2 in the fourth to secure the win.

""Coming off of Christmas break, we wanted a good team win and we did that tonight," Jamestown Coach Ben Marshall said. "Everyone contributed, which makes it fun as a team."

Chad Cook led Jamestown with 17 points, 14 rebounds and six steals. Andy Flippin followed with 10 points, six rebounds, three assists and five steals. Seth Rohrbach chipped in with eight points and eight rebounds.

"CIS played a very aggressive game and pushed our boys early, but Chad had 15 of his 17 points in the first half, which helped us get the win," Marshall added. "I'm very proud of our team effort."
