Finke Theatre to Hold Auditions for Future Play "The Nerd"

The Nerd has been selected as the play to be performed at the Finke Theatre on March 18. The play will be directed by Audie Cline, Jefferson City. Auditions for the performance will be held at the Finke at 7 p.m., Feb.1. There is need for five males and two females to play the following roles: Willum Cubbert - an architect who is a pushover, kind and intelligent; Tansy McGinnis - Willum's, on again, off again girlfriend; Axel Hanemond - Willum's, best friend who lives in his basement; Rick Steadman - the titular "nerd" - oblivious to insult and lacking manners or sensitivity; Warnock Waldgrave - a boisterous, slightly demented businessman; Clelia Waldgrave - a high strung, put-upon wife; and Thor Waldgrave - Waldgrave's terror of a teen son -- a poster child for planned parenthood. Persons interested in playing any of these parts should be at the theatre on Feb. 1. Call Phil Lewis at 796-3754 if you have any questions.
