Moniteau County Regional Economic Development Council (MRED) discusses role in area economic picture
Tuesday, July 26, 2011
The Moniteau County Regional Economic Development Council (MRED) Board of Directors discussed the need to explain the role of the organization at the regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, July 13, at Mel's Diner in Tipton.
Executive Director Ken Parrett, while reporting visits at businesses and with individuals and organizations, explained that many do not understand the role of MRED in the community.
That lack of understanding persists in spite of the efforts of the executive director and the officers and board members through visits, articles, brochures, the web site, radio interviews and presentations before area organizations and city councils.
