Two-a-day practices for the California High School Pinto football teams will get underway Monday, Aug. 8, at Riley Field, and will continue through Friday, Aug. 12. The first practice session will be held 6:30-8:30 a.m., with the second session to follow 9:30-11:30 a.m.

I remember these in 1959 the first year of football. You were given a salt tablet but no water until it was over. Gatorade not yet invented. Larry Hume, CHS Class of 1961.
