After retiring from working in retail most of her life, Martha Foxworthy took over the role of postmaster at the High Point Post Office. To help Foxworthy, Judy Bryant has stepped in as the substitute postmaster on the days Foxworthy has off. The hours at the High Point Post Office, located at 61241 Highway C, are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturdays. Foxworthy said so far she has loved working at the post office.

"It is three hours a day," Foxworthy said, "and it is close to home. I have lived in the High Point area for 41 years and Bryant is from the area too. It is not too demanding and I enjoy it because it gets me out of the house three to four days a week. It is great interacting with the customers. Most of them I have known for a long time anyway so it is good."
