California defeats Iberia; advances to district semifinals

California's varsity girls faced Iberia in first-round action of the Class 3 District 10 Basketball Tournament Monday night at Cole Camp, where the Lady Pintos captured a 59-33 win to advance to the semifinal round.

California led 21-1 after one quarter and 34-13 at the half. The Lady Pintos held onto the lead in the second half as well, with a 43-15 third-quarter edge, to secure the win.
