Jamestown NHS Sponsoring Shoe Drive

Jamestown's National Honor Society will be sponsoring a shoe drive. They will be collecting shoes from all grades in the school K-12. Please bring in shoes to Brenda Selby's office. They welcome anything from old flip-flops, work boots or house shoes to brand new shoes. Please support this project and help them put Shoeman Project on its way to its net drilling rig.

The NHS has a school-wide goal of 500 shoes. If this goal is met they will bake cookies for everyone. There will be a competition between the grades. Kindergarten through sixth grade will compete to see who can collect the most and grades seven through 12 will compete with each other. The top elementary grade and top high school grade will get 30 minutes out of class to eat cookies and play in the gym (or outside depending on weather). This means when you bring in shoes either bag them and write the grade or ortherwise indicate the grade so they can keep track of how many each class has brought in. They appreciate all the support and hope to exceed their current goal.
