Lidia Ramos Chavez

Lidia Ramos Chavez, 58, of California, Mo., passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at her residence.

She was born on January 22, 1953 in Durango, Mexico She was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church.

She worked as a quality control supervisor at Salter Labs.

She is survived by one son, Carlos Aguirre Ramos and wife Isabel of Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico; three daughters, Analilia Aguirre Ramos, also of Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico, Alicia A. Hurtado and husband Victor of Jefferson City, and Sandra Ramos and husband Jesús Nuñez of California, Mo.; one brother, Emanuel Ramos of California, Mo.; two sisters, Ines Moreno and Blasa Ramos, both of Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico; and 17 grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Annunciation Catholic Church in California. Inurnment will be at a later date. Officiating was Fr. Fred Elskamp.

Christopher Bryan Wolfrum, 30, Independence, Mo., passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2011 after a three-year battle with Leukemia.

Chris was born February 20, 1981 in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Rhonda Jean Davis and Dale Alan Wolfrum.

He was a 2001 graduate of Lee’s Summit North High School. Chris had served with the Missouri National Guard. He was employed with Heartland Communications as a telephone technician. Chris enjoyed numerous outdoor activities, including swimming and riding bikes. He loved to play classic rock on his guitar and went to the Renaissance Festival every year.

A Celebration of Chris’s Life was held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 5, 2011 at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, Mo. Graveside services were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 7, 2011 at the California Evangelical Cemetery, California, Mo.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the 39th St. Church of Christ, 15331 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055, or ACS Hope Lodge, 1120 Pennsylvania Ave, Kansas City, MO 64105.

Survivors include his mother, Rhonda Davis Fisher; father, Dale Wolfrum; sisters, Stephanie Sansone and Andrea Wolfrum; brothers, Josh Mahl and Nicholas Fisher; girlfriend, Vihn Phan; maternal grandparents, Eugene Austin and Charlene Rose Davis; paternal grandparents, Larry B. and Anna Mae Wolfrum; nieces and nephews, Alexis, Ava and Jaxon Sansone and Joshua Christopher Mahl; aunt Becky Reener; uncle, Randy “Unc” Davis; and additional family.

Local arrangements were under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California, Mo.

Charles Edward Wood

Charles Edward Wood, 51, of Clarksburg, Mo., passed away with his wife on Monday, February 28, 2011 at their residence.

He was born on December 29, 1959 the son of Clyde, who preceded him in death on April 17, 2002, and Mary K. (Hodler) Wood, who survives of California. He was married at Annunciation Catholic Church to Judy West.

He was a 1978 graduate of California High School and worked as a groundskeeper for Jefferson City Public Schools for many years. He was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church. Charlie enjoyed bowling and caring for his wife.

He is survived by one brother, Roy Wood and wife Lela of California; maternal grandmother Emma Irene Hodler of California; and numerous other loving family members.

Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, March 4, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Annunciation Catholic Church in California. Burial was in Annunciation Catholic Cemetery. Officiating was Fr. Fred Elskamp.

Judy Marie Wood

Judy Marie Wood, 60, of Clarksburg, Mo., passed away with her husband, Charlie Wood, on Monday, February 28, 2011 at their residence.

She was born on September 24, 1949 in Munford, Tenn., the daughter of Clarence and Bessie Marie (Pankey) West, both of whom preceded her in death.

She worked as a waitress for several different restaurants, and enjoyed making quilts. She was a member of Annunciation Catholic Church in California.

She is survived by one son, Danny Joel Prather of Poplar Bluff; two daughters, Stephanie (Jeff) Moad of Eugene, and Christina Hart of Jefferson City; four brothers, Louis V. (Sandra) Jones of Jefferson City, Bobbie (Karin) Jones of Jefferson City, Tex Thompson of Mt. Sterling, and Richard (Theresa) Hayes of California; one sister, Genevieve Rowland of California; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother-in-law Roy Rowland.

Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, March 4, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at Annunciation Catholic Church. Burial was in Annunciation Catholic Cemetery. Officiating was Fr. Fred Elskamp.
