Prairie Home Lady Panthers lose district semifinal to Chamois

After defeating Tuscumbia 43-29 in the Class 1 District 9 opener at Jamestown Feb. 28, the Prairie Home girls, seeded fourth, faced top-seeded Chamois in the semifinal round Thursday, where the Lady Panthers ended their season with a 69-37 loss to the Lady Pirates.

Taylor Zey and Kendra Stinson led Prairie Home with 14 points each. Miranda Brandt led Chamois with 18 points.

Chamois (16-9) advanced to the championship game Saturday, where the Lady Pirates lost 62-60 in overtime to second-seeded St. Elizabeth.

Prairie Home ends the season 12-12.
