At the end of the 2010-2011 Jamestown C-I School Year, Dr. Kevin Kohler, principal, will retire from a 29-year career as an educator. Kohler said he got into education by following in the footsteps of his father Nelson who was a principal and coach in Tipton and Versailles.

"I always admired my father," Kohler said, "and just wanted to stay in the family profession. I started as a teacher and coach. In high school I lived for sports. I continued with that in college and it was all I ever wanted to do was coach and teach. I coached and taught for 11 years and for the past 18 years I have been a principal. My plan all along was to coach and teach and then move on into administration. I have enjoyed it. I have been at various schools and spent one year in Otterville."
