Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Holds Revival
Tuesday, May 3, 2011
Mt. Moriah Baptist Church, Clarksburg, held a revival April 29-May 1. The speaker was former deacon John Gross. Activities included having a bluegrass band and barbecue Saturday, April 30.
Having grown up in the church, Gross preaching at the revival was a homecoming.
"Preaching at Mt. Moriah means everything for me," Gross said. "I was born and raised in Clarksburg. II started going to this church nine months before I was born. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and savior, was baptized in this church and eventually I became a deacon and licensed pastor in the church. So just to be able to come back and preach is a homecoming."
