California Progress, Inc. continues to plan fundraiser

The upcoming fundraiser occupied most of the time of the California Progress, Inc. (CPI) Board of Directors at the regular monthly meeting Tuesday, May 17, held at the Wood Place Public Library, second floor.
The "Wine, Dine and Win" fundraiser will be June 18 at Braykley Hall near Centertown. The event begins at 6 p.m., with a half hour social time. There will be only 150 tickets sold to the event which includes a prime rib dinner with chicken, catered by Burl Lutz. There will be beverages and a chance to win "big money."
In addition to cash prizes, there will be a live auction, silent auction and second chance drawing. Tickets are $100 each for two people.
In other business, more consideration was given to a membership drive and it was announced renewals are due July 1.
