• Latham School Veteran's Day Assembly, 9 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11, at the school. Missouri House Representative Caleb Jones will be a guest speaker.

• California Middle School Veteran's Day Assembly, 10 a..m. Friday, Nov. 11, in the gym. The Kiwanis Essay Winners will present their essays.

• Prairie Home School Veteran's Day Assembly, 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 11, in the school gymnasium. The guest speaker will be Holocaust survivor Hedy Epstein. The public is welcome to attend.

• Centertown Post 531 American Legion Chili Supper, 4 -7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at the American Letion, 231 Rt. U, Adults are $7, children 6-12 $3 and under 6 are free. All you can eat.

• California Nutrition Center Chili Supper, 4:30 -7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Nutrition Center, 107 W. Versailles Ave., Admission is $4 in advance; $5 at the door.

• California Nutrition Center Jam Session for all players, singers and listeners, 6-10 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, at the Nutrition Center, 107 W. Versailles Ave., Cover charge is $2. • Russellville Indians Gatorade Scrimmage, Fall Booster Club Bash, Friday, Nov. 18, at high school gym and cafeteria. Spaghetti Dinner will be held 5-7 p.m. Two-quarter scrimmages begin at 6 p.m., girls first, then boys. The cost for dinner is $7 for adults and $5 for children ages 6-10. The cost to attend the scrimmages is a bottle of Gatorade.

• California High School Cross Country Banquet, 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 18, at First Baptist Church, California.

• Jamestown Eagles Blue and Whie Scrimmage, 6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, at Jamestown School, featuring the varsity girls and boys basketball teams. Free-will donations will be accepted at the door, which will go to the Jamestown Athletic Department.
