Latham school board approves contract

A contract has been approved by the Latham R-V School Board for construction of a new school building and gym.

The contractor is Curtiss Maness Schulte, Inc., Eldon. The contract went into effect on Monday, Nov. 7, for a 5,400 square foot pre-manufactured gymnasium and a 7,500 square foot classroom building. The classroom building is to be constructed of conventional steel. It will include six classrooms, library, computer lab, commons area and two offices.

The facilities are to be completed by mid-summer. The date for the ground breaking has not been set.
