Senior volleyball players end final season

Playing volleyball together since middle school, the seniors of the Lady Pintos volleyball team ended their last season at CHS in the district championship game against Stover. Losing in the third game by a short three points, the game was a heartbreaker.

This year there were six seniors to look to for experience and leadership. Among them were Karin Bolinger, Holly Wolfrum, Tiffany Lutz, Kaitlyn Allison, Beth Crow and Stephanie Pugh.

For many of the senior girls, the end of volleyball only resembles the exciting start of a new basketball season, but for Stephanie Pugh, it resembles the end of CHS sports altogether. Pugh is a three year lettermen.

"Playing with this team will be something I'll always remember. I'm thankful to have had the opportunity to be a part of such a awesome group of girls," said Pugh.

Although the Lady Pintos still have some dominating forces on the court, losing seniors is always hard.

Sophomore Sydney Deeken said, "I will miss these girls a lot. They've became some of my best friends. Next year just won't be the same without them."

With the ending of fall sports, winter sports have now begun. This basketball season will be the last for a total of 14 seniors, both boys and girls.
