County Hazard Mitigation Plan presented
Tuesday, November 15, 2011
The updated Moniteau County Hazard Mitigation Plan was presented by Susan Galeota, Mid-MO Regional Planning Commission, for public comment Tuesday, Nov. 8, at the California City Hall. This was the last opportunity for public input on the plan before submission to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) for approval.
An approved Hazard Mitigation Plan allows participating jurisdictions to apply for FEMA mitigation grants to lessen the impact of natural hazards.
