Annunciation Catholic Church Hosts Community Thanksgiving Service

Annunciation Catholic Church, California, was the site for the Annual Community Thanksgiving Service sponsored by the California Ministerial Alliance Sunday, Nov. 20. The service began with the hymn "Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee." Sister Mary Ruth Ward welcomed those in attendance before Rev. Dan Rowlison, pastor of First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), California, led a congregation prayer.

Rev. Eddie Schoeneberg, pastor of Main Street Baptist Church, California, read the scripture, Philippians 1:1-11. "Come, Ye Thankful People, Come" was sung before Ward recited the address prepared by Rev. Fred Elskamp, who was not present due to a death in the family. In the address Elskamp talked about the importance of being thankful for God.
