The California Middle School seventh and eighth grade girls basketball teams opened the season with back-to-back wins against Versailles and Eldon last week.
The Lady Pintos started off with wins at home against Versailles Nov. 21. California's eighth grade defeated the Lady Tigers 52-13.
"The girls jumped out to an early start by playing aggressive and making a lot of steals that ended with great passes and layups," California Coach Jennifer Porter said. "I'm very pleased with how they played and I look forward to the rest of the season."
