The California Middle School seventh grade volleyball team hosted Eldon Sept. 26, where the Lady Pinto won the match 25-22 and 25-15.
Emma Bailey led serves with 12, followed by Cameron Meyer with 10. Elaine Vargas had 12 successful passes followed by Meyer with 11 and Monica Whitson with 10. Bailey contributed California's sole block.
"The players got off to a rocky start, but really rallied to come from behind for the win in the first game," California Coach Tiffany Brown said.
The Lady Pintos traveled to Jefferson City Sept. 27, where they won their match against Thomas Jefferson 25-10 and 25-8.
