The Prairie Home varsity softball team hosted Senior Night Sept. 28, where four Lady Panthers, Taylor Zey, Brittany Chenault, Megan Morton and team manager Amber Frank, were recognized via a special ceremony. Prairie Home almost pocketed a win as the Lady Panthers lost a close contest to Higbee, 4-3.
Kristynn Watson pitched the loss and recorded five strikeouts.
"Kristynn pitched a very good game for us," Prairie Home Coach Kris Stodgel said. "We started out behind due to three walks and a double, but the girls came together and tied the game up and held on. A few fielding errors and base running cost us the win."
Kendra Stinson led Prairie Home hits with a homerun, followed by Brooke Emmerich with a triple and Kristynn Watson with a double.
