JV Pintos defeat Thunderbirds 48-6

California's JV football team traveled to North Callaway Monday night, where the Pintos defeated the Thunderbirds 48-6.

"We were able to play a lot of kids," California Coach Rick Edward said. "Jaden Barr quarterbacked for us the first half, which allowed us to move Burke Brant back to receiver, which is both of their main positions. It worked out well for us as Jaden hit Burke for a touchdown early in the game. Several people scored and we continued to play hard in the second half, which is something the coaches were wanting to see."

The Pintos will travel to Sedalia Monday, Oct. 10, for games against Smith-Cotton. The freshman game will begin at 5:30 p.m. with the JV game to follow.
