California Lady Pintos net eight wins in four days

The California High School volleyball teams wrapped up action on the court last week with three varsity wins and five JV wins.

California hosted Versailles Oct. 4, where the varsity Lady Pintos won their match against the Lady Tigers 25-17, 21-25 and 25-17. Kaitlyn Allison had eight digs and Abby Lueckenotte had 11 assists. Sydney Deeken contributed nine kills and four blocks, while Karin Bolinger had six kills and Beth Crow had four blocks.

California's JVB defeated Versailles 25-15 and 25-20, while the JVA recorded California's only loss of the week, to the Lady Tigers, 22-25, 25-14 and 26-28.

Libby Martin led the JVB with nine service points and four digs, while Hannah Clutter had seven service points.

California's JVA was led by Morgan Henley with 14 service points and nine assists. Leah Davis had seven digs, and Abby Strickfaden and Paige Halsey each had four kills.
