CHS Students Dress Up for Spirit Week

Monday, Oct. 3 marked the start of Homecoming week for CHS. Each day the students and faculty were given the opportunity to participate by dressing up for that day's theme.

The week consisted of college day, fake an injury day, class color day, decade day, and spirit day. Each day's theme is chosen by Student Council ahead of time.

Kicking off the week was college day for which students and faculty wore their favorite team's attire.

Ethan Jones, a junior at CHS, said this was his favorite day because "College sports are my favorite to watch."

Following college day was fake-an-injury day. This was the first time that this theme was put into the agenda for spirit week. Bum knees, black eyes, and bandages of all sorts were scattered throughout the halls.

Next up was class color day. Seniors wore black, Juniors wore blue, Sophomores wore red, and Freshmen wore purple. The hallways were bursting with color as students walked from class to class.

Thursday was decade day, which is also the parade theme. CHS was a living timeline with the 60's, 70's, 80's, and 2010's all represented by the classes.

Last but not least was the traditional spirit day. All the students and faculty were decked out in all their pinto gear as the team prepared for the big game against Knob Knoster.

Senior Beth Crow said this is always her favorite day of the week. "I'm going to miss dressing up and showing my school spirit."

Homecoming is a time for all students and faculty to rally together and show off their Pinto Pride in their own way. It is always a memorable time for all of CHS, and this year was no different.
