The California Middle School seventh and eighth grade volleyball teams donated $200 and 41 jars of peanut butter to the Buddy Pack Program. The team raised the money and jars of peanut butter during a "Peanut Butter Jam" fundraiser Sept. 25, where the teams collected donations of money and jars of peanut butter as an entry fee for their matches against Blair Oaks.

"We were contacted by the Buddy Pack Program," Heather Henley, coach for the eighth grade volleyball team, said, "looking for some help with getting peanut butter. Peanut butter is something most everyone uses and they were running low on it with prices also going up. So we decided to help out by having the 'Peanut Butter Jam.' To attend the game, people could bring a donation or a jar of peanut butter. We played Blair Oaks and they brought donations as well to get in."
