Mid-Mo Ambulance 2011-12 budget amended
Tuesday, October 18, 2011
The Mid-Mo Ambulance Board of Directors approved an amended budget, correcting the ending balance from the projected $680,000 to the actual $614,325.41. Total projected funds for 2011-12 are now $2,723,325.41 and reserve funds are $178,325.41. According to Administrator Lee Kempf, the amount needed to be amended by more than usual because of an accidental omission when the budget figures were calculated.
The board was informed of accounts written off in the office in the amount of $1,778.25. Most were remaining accounts from 2010 resulting from an adjustment made by Medicare. After review, the board approved writing off $14,696.73 in accounts deemed uncollectible. It was explained to the board that the write-offs are because of a recommendation from the accountant that anything in extended litigation be written off.
