Pumpkin Carving Contest

The California High School Art Club held a Pumpkin Carving Contest among its members on Monday, Oct. 24, from 6-9 p.m. The purpose is for the students to have fun with design.

Eschebrenner Pumpkin Patch provided the pumpkins for the students that needed a pumpkin

"It's a way for kids to use their artistic ability," said art teacher Brad Friedrich, "the pumpkins were displayed at Trick-or-Treat on Pinto Street Tuesday, Oct. 25."

Friedrich picks staff members from the school to judge the pumpkins on creativity, craftsmanship, and originality. Last year's winner was Tiffany Lutz.

Members participating this year were Sergio Banda, Tiffany Lutz, Patricia Garcia, Kristen Dummermuth, Ryan Combs, Maria Banda and Sarah Couchman.
