For the second year in a row the River Rats took the top trophy in the Jamestown Labor Day Softball Tournament. Sponsors of the River Rats were Nathan Tires and Stockton Towing.
In the round-robin tournament, the River Rats lost only to the Wombats by 19-2. They won over Kelsey's Krew 27-7, Windy Ridge 13-5, B&T 24-3, Windy Ridge again 18-7, Wombats in a rematch by 20-7 and Frerking Electric 20-13 leading up to the championship game.
