The Califorina Pintos hosted Montgomery County Friday, Sept. 16, at Riley Field, where they shut out the Wildcats 48-0. California, 3-1, will play Blair Oaks at Wardsville at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23.

During halftime of California's varsity football game Friday at Riley Field, Jason West of the Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA), at right, presented a personalized banner to California High School senior student athletes Grant Burger and Kaitlyn Allison, on behalf of CHS, in recognition of the school's work and accomplishments in the Champions of Character program, which recognizes schools dedicated to leadership, sportsmanship and character development. CHS is one of only 25 schools across Missouri that met all five requirements to become a 5-Star Leadership School.
